BLAST FURNACE SLAG

Blast Furnace Slag is known as a supplementary cementitious material in that it has some cementitious properties (i.e. goes hard in presence of moisture) but it generally needs some proportion of cement (normal or ordinary portland cement) to activate itself. It can be blended with normal cement in different proportions to impart different characteristics to the resultant binder.

Typical uses include soil stabilisation, underground mining and marine concrete applications where engineering properties such as reworkability and durability are required. It can also be used in the manufacture of tiling adhesives and grouts.

Blast Furnace Slag is packed in 20kg bags.
